London: Forest Hill on way up – Aga's Little Deli – a welcome new feature

Aga's Little Deli and Café in September before the sign was painted

AGA's Little Deli and Café opened on Sunday 16th September just a day after the soft opening of the wonderful restored Forest Hill Pools and Gym. They have excellent bread – the rye is especially good. There are also cheeses from Neal's Yard and a good selection of olives. The Queen green olives are particularly fleshy and succulent and it also possible to enjoy an expresso there.

With Aga's and the new pool complex, Forest Hill, London SE23 continues to move up with new welcome developments. This has also included back in May 2010 the opening of the Overground rail service to Forest Hill and beyond to Crystal Palace and West Croydon, which has made a big difference to the travel options from here to other parts of London.
