 Epeigné-les-Bois features as one of the 200 sites showing off their troglos this coming weekend. In some instances these will be places not usually open to the public.

Source Saint Aignan

In this instance, however, the attraction is the village's Source de Saint-Aignan, whose water is reputed to be good for skin conditions like eczema. The site is open all year round and from time to time people arrive with containers so they can take the waters away with them..

The roses are particularly attractive at the moment. Good that we have recently had some rain it it has been very dry for much of this year.

Le Lézard Vert, Epeigné's shop and bar, is changing hands. Sale notice here. Clemence, who is handing over to Stéphanie and Nacer, held farewell drinks Thursday evening. The shop will be closed Friday but reopens on Saturday morning. The new owners plan to add a restaurant.

Source Saint-Aignan: Epeigné's premier tourist attraction

Water from the Source Saint-Aignan is claimed to be good for eczema and other skin complaints – from time to time people visit the source to collect water.

The early morning light was brilliant with a deep blue sky as the photo of the church and those of the lake (below) shows. Now Friday morning (8th) is completely different after a storm yesterday evening around 9pm. It must be a good 15˚C degrees cooler (mid-afternoon temperatures on Thursday afternoon must have hit 35˚C) and overcast.
