Errázuriz Wine Photographer of the Year
Details of the Errázuriz Photographer of the Year – press release
Viña Errázuriz, one of Chile’s premier
family wine estates, is sponsoring the Errázuriz Wine Photographer of the Year
category at the 2013 Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year.
There is still time to enter this brand new
category ahead of the closing date: 31st January 2013.
The judging panel is looking for images of
all things vinous and there are three sub-categories: Produce, People, Places.
'Produce' refers to the wine itself.
This could be a glass of deep red Errázuriz Estate Cabernet Sauvignon at Sunday
lunch – a juicy wine and delicious with roasted red meats. Or a winter
warming shot of sherry pouring from the bottle.
'People' refers to those involved in making
the wine, and images can be portraits or action shots. From chief
winemakers to seasonal grape pickers, everyone is passionate about their
wine.
And lastly, 'Places' is for any place
associated with the craft of making wine; the vineyards, the cellars or the
winery itself, for example.
The competition, now in its second year,
celebrates all that is special and significant about food photography in our
culture, recognising the art as never before.
The competition is open to professionals
and amateurs alike, across the world. The winner of the Errázuriz Wine
Photographer of the Year will receive £1,000 and wine from Viña Errázuriz for a
year, while the overall winner will receive £5,000.
The winners will be announced on 23rd April
2013 at a VIP reception at the Mall Galleries, London.
