Sunday night and Monday we stayed at Les Logis du Grillon in the old quarter of Sancerre. I have recommended Nadia and Pascal Charpentier's rooms before but after another warm welcome I should do so again. Les Logis are just down from the cellars of Domaine Vacheron and no more than a three or four minute walk from Sancerre's central square. Nadia speaks good English but is happy to allow you to grapple with the French language if you prefer. They also have 3 gîtes nearby.
