European Wine Bloggers Conference Lisbon 2009

I'm looking forward to attending the European Wine Bloggers' Conference in Lisbon from 30th October - 1st November. This will be the first of these conferences that I have been to and the location is particularly good as Lisbon is one of my favourite cities.

47 bloggers have now signed up for the conference that includes associated visits to the Douro with the Douro Boys, Estremadura, Setubal/Terras do Sado, Cortes de Cima and other treats. See programme here. If you are a blogger the conference fee is 95€ with a 10€ discount if you are a member of the OpenWine Consortium. Warning: the conference fee rises to 150€ for bloggers who register after 30th September.

The organisers are keen to attract more bloggers from France to attend. There are some very good French blogs, so it would be good to see, at least, some French bloggers in Lisbon. I don't want to have to speak English all the time, as both my Portuguese and Spanish are severely limited!

Update: 15th September: 58 bloggers from 12 countries have now signed up for this conference but still no French bloggers.

Anna. I understand some Italian, especially when it is close to French. Look forward to meeting you in Lisbon.

Hi Robert As you now I have a strong preference for subdued shirts, so I'm sure there will be no clash. Ironic that we fail to meet up in Forest Hill, London and instead have to go to Lisbon.

Thanks but no thanks for the program organisers listing all those blogs!!
More to check out eh.

Bob from Alberta.

Bob It would have been good to have met you but Alberta to Lisbon is long way for a conference.

You think Alberta to Lisbon is far...we went all the way from Lisbon to Santa Rosa, and survived! In fact had a great time! Hope to see lots of people from lots of places at the upcoming Portuguese Bloggers get together!
