Forest Hill (SE23) revamped pools now open

Forest Hill Pools now open

Foundation stone for the original Victorian pools: 3rd May 1886

The revamped Forest Hill Pools opened at 7am this morning. This is the soft opening as the official opening will be next Saturday (22nd September). The new pools have been greeted with a gloriously sunny day. I fancy the new pools and fitness suite may well play an important role in reviving Forest Hill, which now enjoys very good transport links with the arrival of The Overground.

The Forest Hill Pools, Dartmouth Road, London SE23 3HZ* are open seven days a week. Monday - Friday 7am-10pm and Saturday - Sunday 7am - 6pm. Tel: 020-8291 8730. (* links to Bird in the Hand pub, which is just along Dartmouth Road.)

One of the opportunities being offered at the pool is underwater hockey provided by the Westwickham Underwater Hockey Club. Contact Steve Baldwin (development officer) on stevebaldwin16@btinternet.com
