In September 2012 my wife and I took our second cycling trip in the Loire: Tours to Villandry, then to Saumur, back to Chedigny, then to Amboise, and back to Tours. We arrived early in Saumur, so went on a walk, up the hill to Seignerie, where we were greeted with wonderful hospitality, and wine. We took a bottle back to eat with our cheese and bread, and packed another three in our pannier bags for the rest of the trip - it was worth it. Thanks for the memory.
