Parkinson's Grand Cru Fundraising Ride: 3eme Etape – Agen to Villaudric (Château de la Colombière, AC Fronton)

The trio @the café (Jim, Carole and Max)

For the second successive day the vast majority of our ride was spent pedalling along by the Garonne Canal. Again it was very enjoyable motor traffic free ride with some walkers and other cyclists for company. We also had shade for much of our ride.

Fortunately it was fairly cool when we set off from our hotel in Agen  – Résidence Astoria. However, we did waste some time trying to find our way onto the canal path. By the time we turned off the Garonne Canal and up into the aptly named little village – Canals – to head to Fronton and Villaudric it had become very warm. In Fronton it was 35˚C just after 2pm.We were very glad to get to Château de la Colombière (AC Fronton) where we are staying tonight.

We are delighted that our fundraising has now crested the £4000 mark and currently stands at £4217.50 with gift aid from 81 generous donors. This leaves us £1782.50 off our £6000 target if we count in gift aid.

Parkinson's UK believe that a breakthrough in the treatment of Parkinson's is very possible:
