No big Deal

The Kings Head with rooms

Spending a couple of nights at Deal – yes it is that time of year again: the annual get-together of friends who met in the 60s at Manchester University. Every year for the last 22 we have met up at a seaside resort in England or Wales. There is one crucial criterion – the resort has to have a pier. Our party of 11 is split between The Kings Head and the Channel View Guest House. Both are owned by the same proprietors who are very friendly and welcoming.

Why the pier?

Because we feel that a pier is an essential part of a seaside resort.
