Cheltenham views: Sunday 10th November 2013

After two pretty miserable days with plenty of rain, this morning in Cheltenham is beautifully sunny.

Staying with friends in Cheltenham, which is our first ever visit to the town. Dinner last night included a wonderfully good potato pie using a recipe from Michel Roux  – see below. With the cheese we enjoyed a very good, delicately honeyed sweet Vin de France, which had good refreshing acidity in the finish from Claudine Labenne – Jean de Montréjeau in Armagnac (see below).
