Brett Jones – The Wine Maestro – dies

We were very sorry and saddened to learn this evening that Brett Jones – the Wine Maestro – and Wink Lorch's partner died this morning losing his brave and courageous fight against prostrate cancer. 

One of our strongest memories was his performance back in September 2009 on the 4th plinth in Trafalgar Square highlighting the dangers of prostate cancer, which included, of course, a wine tasting. Brett had been treated and was in remission.

Brett Jones, the wine maestro, spent an hour this evening atop the fourth plinth in London's Trafalgar Square raising awareness of the threat of prostate cancer conducting a wine tasting while highlighting mortality rates from the disease. Click here for the charity Prostate UK.

Brett Jones on 4th plinth Monday highlighting prostate cancer

Brett Jones, a member of the Circle of Wine Writers and The Association of Wine Educators, will be on the Fourth Plinth in London's Trafalgar Square on Monday 14th September from 8pm-9pm raising awareness of prostate cancer. Brett was treated and cured of prostate cancer in 2006. While on the plinth Brett will be conducting a wine tasting. Details here.
