The Fox Inn@Moreton-in--Marsh: excellent lunch today

The Fox in Moreton-in-Marsh

We had excellent late lunch today at The Fox in Moreton-in-Marsh. There were lots of tempting dishes on the menu including grouse, partridge, venison and oxtail and kidney pudding. Four of us started with some wonderful rock oysters. Follow-on dishes we chose were partridge, oxtail and kidney pudding, confit belly of pork with a Bath Chap, chicken liver parfait and Cornish fish soup, all brilliantly cooked and presented.

Clearly somewhere to return to savour a full three courses and not feeling the need to be sensible knowing that we would be enjoying a substantial dinner in the evening.
