A glimpse of Cheltenham, Michel Roux's potato pie and a Sud Ouest Vin de France

Staying with friends in Cheltenham, which is our first ever visit to the town. Dinner last night included a wonderfully good potato pie using a recipe from Michel Roux  – see below. With the cheese we enjoyed a very good, delicately honeyed sweet Vin de France, which had good refreshing acidity in the finish from Claudine Labenne – Jean de Montréjeau in Armagnac (see below).
