#2015Loire: news of Epeigné's sole grand cru – Clos Chossay

 Côt

Brief update from here :

Sauvignon picked 14th September at 12.5%, low acidity – very ripe

Cot picked 21st September at 12.25%. Very ripe – some of the larger grapes had split but overall we found only 2 or 3 mouldy grapes which were rejected along with a scattering of unripe grapes. Pictures attached.

Cabernet Franc is currently at 10.5%. We’ll pick from 1st October. The 200m of netting is doing its job.

A lot of grapes so we’re maybe going to pass a hectolitre and a half for the first time !

Destemming by hand – a lot of patience required...!
