#2015Loire – more torrential rain (18.9) dampens hopes of great vintage

Driving back from Montlouis late yesterday afternoon in torrential rain. On Facebook Lamé Delisle Boucard (Bourgueil) report that 87mm of rain fell there from last Sunday. By Thursday it was 65mm, so a further 22mm fell yesterday. Happily they are reporting that their Cabernet Franc still looks very healthy.

Thankfully the weather now seems more settled: this afternoon we had just blue sky and sunshine. Apart from some rain forecast on Tuesday next week is looking promising for the moment.
