Great discovery: Lo'Jo@the Barbican

Lo'Jo's latest album: Cinéma el Mundo

We went to an excellent concert last night at the Barbican – Songlines Music Awards 2013 – Winners' Concert. I had never heard of Lo'Jo, the first act on before but was very quickly captivated by their great and unusual sound and their energy. The group has been together for a long time and is based, at least for part of the time, near Angers. Hence I assume the Lo' in the band's name. There is a very strong North African influence in their music. We bought their latest CD last night and I suspect that this won't be the last of Lo'Jo's albums that we purchase.
