#TDF14: Marcel Kittel wins first stage and takes Yellow

Marcel Kittel won the hard finish to this stage into Harrogate again showing that he is able to time his sprint brilliantly. Unfortunately Mark Cavendish and Simon Gerrans crashed. The worry is that Cav may have broken his collarbone with Gerrans crashing into him having got caught in the handlebars of Bryan Coquard.

This win takes Marcel Kittel's Tour de France stage wins to five. See the complete list here

Update 18:05: Patrick Lefevere tells Eurosport that Cav hasn't broken anything and will be able to continue. Good news although I suspect that Mark will find tomorrow's stage very tough. Will be have recovered enough for the Mall on Monday?
