Esme Morris Macintyre
On 7th July 2013 Esme, aged only 18, died of a brain tumour around the time that Andy Murray, one of her heroes went two sets to love up against Novak Djokovic at the Wimbledon final. The tumour was discovered when Esme was 11. Over her remaining seven years she raised thousands of pounds for Teenage Cancer Trust. You can see her story on Facebook. Following Bourguillotherapie 2014 (Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th September) I will be riding the length of the Loire from the source to the Atlantic to raise money for teenagers with cancer.
