2011 Muscadet Côtes de Grand Lieu sur lie, Eric Chevalier

2011 Le Clos de la Butte, Muscadet Côtes de Grand Lieu, Eric Chevalier

Although Eric Chevalier has tended to make his name, especially outside France, with his Fie Gris (Sauvignon Rose/Sauvignon Gris), his Muscadet is also very good as this attractive lemony and crystalline 2011 shows. We drank it as an aperitif and also with some smoked salmon. I'm sure it would be good with grilled sole or top quality fish and chips.
