Travels with Mr Gulliver and Mr Henderson

 Leaving the Estanquet bar

Yesterday we drove down from the Loire to Olonzac in the Hérault for Trevor Gulliver and Fergus Henderson's annual fête des vins in their winery in La Lavinière. Despite heavy traffic and torrential rain around Toulouse and several sections of roadworks on the A20 autoroute we got down in time to go with the rest of the group to a remarkable little bar called Estanguet. Run by Gilbert, who is a vigneron during the day, it is a favourite of Trevor's but far from easy to find. The small bar is full of football and rugby memorabilia.

Trevor and Fergus are well known restaurateurs with the St John Restaurant in Clerkenwell the best known.
