Good news: Emmanuel Giboulot cleared

Emmanuel Giboulot@The Renaissance
tasting in Angers 2nd February 2014

Many apologies for the belated posting of the news that Emmanuel Giboulot has had his conviction for refusing to treat his vines quashed. It was quashed because the original prefectoral décret had not been approved by the Ministry of Agriculture

From decanter.com
'The court overturned the original judgment, given in April 2014, that found Giboulot guilty of refusing to treat his vines against the disease flavesence doree. He had been fined €1,000, albeit with €500 of it suspended.

The Drinks Business
Giboulot conviction overturned.

frankly said...

I love it that the reason for overturning a bureaucratic decree is that it hadn't conformed to the decrees of the bureaucracy. Not to endorse a cliche' or anything, but Seulement en France.
