Anjou –– where in the Layon please? Solved: Saint-Aubin-de-Luigné.
Help please – can anyone identify this small town, which is either
in the western Layon or possibly in the Aubance?
Update: it is Saint-Aubin-de-Luigné looking towards Saint-Lambert-du-Lattay.

This is what comes of trying to sort out photos years after you have taken them! These were taken in early April 2007.
Many thanks to Paul-Eric Chauvin and Jocelyn Saget, who put me right. I had wondered whether it was Saint-Aubin but thought that it would be more encircled by hills. Of course, the view is looking east slightly south east where it is less hilly than to the north of the village.

It looks familiar, but I have no idea where it is!
If It suddenly dawns on me I'll let you know.
Like you, we have hundreds of unsorted photos taken over twenty years of exploring France (mainly by motorcycle) and it comes as a shock when we realise we can't remember where they were taken.
Well it's not Billericay…
Very helpful Brett - thank you for eliminating one possibility!
Now confirmaed that it isn't Billericay. Rather it is Saint-Aubin-de-Luigné looking towards Saint-Lambert-du-Lattay.
