Update on busted quads
Dateline: 4th January 2008 Raigmore Hospitall, Inverness
After having my op cancelled yesterday I was operated on this morning and am now back in the ward. My knee wasn’t the problem instead it was the quads that had ripped off the kneecap. The surgeon (Mr Nicol) has anchored them back to my kneecap.
I had a spinal anaesthetic so was conscious through out the procedure. However, was surprised and disappointed not to have seen the hacksaw...... with feeling coming back the pain is there but fortunately being fed morphine.
All the staff at Raigmore continue to impress through their professionalism, care and friendliness.
We have to treasure our NHS!
