London's continuously changing skyline – 2017 v 2005

 Around the Elephant a new group of high rise towers developing – 

a counterpoint to the City and Canary Wharf 
(2nd March 2017)

London's skyline has recently been changing with dramatic speed as these comparisons with 2005 (see below) show. The biggest changes have been in the City, around London Bridge – notably with the Shard, and most recently around the Elephant/towards Blackfriars.

Back then the NatWest Building and the 

recently completed Gherkin 

were the two dominant City towers.

Now both are overshadowed by taller buildings 

 

Less of a change looking towards Canary Wharf 
– just a few more towers
