2014 L'insolite, Coteaux du Giennois, Domaine de Villargeau

Not only are the Cabernet based reds from 2014 vintage delicious but so too are the Central Vineyard reds with Pinot Noir often to the fore.

However, the 2014 L'insolite, Coteaux du Giennois from Domaine de Villargeau shows that 100% Gamay here can be a success as this has very attractive, juicy blacks fruits. Certainly enjoyable now, this red is still youthful and should show well for the next three to five years.

It has to said that L'insolite is very much better than their website, which is over-complicated.
