2014 Bourgueillotherapie fast approaches + exhibition of Bourgueil and St Nic photos

Jim and the shirt that will be auctioned to raise money on
Sunday afternoon (14th September) for La Croix Rouge

It is only just over a week before the start of the 2014 edition of Bourgueillotherapie (Saturday 13th – Sunday 14th September) organised by Sébastien David, Ludo and Sophie Ragot – a unique blend of art and wine coming together to raise money for charity. Every year a different charity or charities are chosen. This year it is the turn of La Croix Rouge.

The following vignerons from Bourgueil/Saint Nicolas de Bourgueil are participating in 2014:

Gérald Vallée
Sébastien David,
Fréderic Mabileau,
Xavier Amirault,
Laurent  Herlin,
Domaine de la Chevalerie,
Domaine Pierre et Catherine Breton,
Domaine Georget ,
Domaine du Rochouard,
Château Minière,
Xavier Courant,
Les Frères Nau

This will be our third consecutive Bourgueillotherapie and, as well as putting up a shirt for auction, I will have a small exhibition of photos at the Café de la Promenade with the profits going to La Croix Rouge. The majority will be portraits of producers and am calling it 'de nicolas à patrice' as there will be photos from Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil to Saint-Patrice.

Today we have been busy making our selection. Here are a few that are likely to feature:

Xavier Courant
Joël Taluau in June 2012
Sadly Joël died of a heart attack
almost exactly a year later

Ludovic Ragot

Les Caves

One that almost certainly won't make the cut!
June 2013: revelry@Café de la Promenade as nightfalls..
