Snow in Newtonmore – contrast with Loire

 Newtonmore: steady snow this morning with a max of 2˚C (above and below)

Quite steady snow this morning in Newtonmore. In contrast the Loire is still mild – 10˚C forecast for Epeigné-les-Bois. December in the Loire has been mild and wet. According to figures for Tours (Météo-France) the month saw 135.2 mm of rain compared to the average 72.1 (1971-2000). The wettest December was 1999 with 158 mm. Temperatures for December were high 10.6˚C (max daily temps) compared to the average of 7.8˚C. There were 61 hours of sunshine – average 50 hours.
