AOP Fiefs Vendéens: impeccable sense of timing

Thierry Michon (Domaine Saint-Nicolas): one of leading producers of Fiefs Vendéens

Tweet from Jon-David Headrick (US importer):

'Wildly elated call from France. Fiefs Vendéens just passed from VDQS to AOP for 2011 vintage. Oysters are being shucked, ducks slaughtered.'

As Egypt celebrates the fall of Mubarak, so the Fiefs Vendéens celebrate their promotion from VDQS to AOP status from the 2011 vintage.

Jim, after Tunisia and Egypt, there will be a third reason for democrats to rejoice in France in 2012 : the NON-re-election of President Sarkozy !

Luc. Does this mean that France is now amongst the North African dominoes?

Domino-mino, domino-minette!

As “Soeur Sourire » would have had it :
“Dominique, nique, nique
S'en allait tout simplement,
Routier, pauvre et chantant
En tous chemins, en tous lieux,
Il ne parle que du Bon Dieu,
Il ne parle que du Bon Dieu ... »

You judge, Jim, you judge.
