EWBC10: last evening@Heuringer Mayer am Pfarrplatz

Sign at entrance to Heuringer Mayer am Pfarrplatz

We all had a very enjoyable dinner at the Heuringer Mayer am Pfarrplatz, one of Vienna's wineries up on the hill overlooking the city. Very large building with lots of rooms with people eating robust Austrian food. It comfortably absorbed our group of 200 and there were a number of other diners.

There were wines from six Vienna producers to taste and drink. We didn't manage to taste them all but over the evening gathered a selection for our table. Here are my two favourites:

2006 Pinot Noir, Grand Select, Weingut Wieninger

2008 Nussberg Grande Reserve, Weingut Zahel
