Chenin Blanc in Bordeaux?

decanter.com has a story from Jane Anson about possible trials of Chenin Blanc in Bordeaux along with other varieties. Perhaps this explains why Stéphane Derenoncourt has been working with Domaine FL in Anjou so he can learn how to make Chenin Blanc!

not very likely that we will see a Bordeaux Riesling I expect

I suspect that it is unlikely that Bordeaux will ever make good Riesling or Chenin Blanc.
