The Big Fortified Tasting 2013: some amazing Sherries

A venenciado serving the 2012 Tio Pepe En Rama@BFT

The Big Fortified Tasting has swiftly become established as one of the most interesting and exciting tastings on the annual London circuit. On arrival today visitors were offered a glass of the just launched 2012 Tio Pepe En Rama – a wonderful way to start an exploration of the superb range of Sherries on view with some of the small producers being particularly exciting. The 2012 Tio Pepe En Rama is expected to retail at around £14.99.

Wonderfully fresh but intense: 2012 Tio Pepe En Rama

There were, of course, lots of other styles of fortified wines to taste but I preferred to concentrate on the Sherries and there are only so many fortified wines that you can taste before feeling distinctly light headed.
