Montlouis – François Chidaine's new winery + pruning

The new winery being built by François Chidaine in the centre of Husseau (above and below)

Here is a small selection of photos taken in and near Husseau, a small village just to the east of the town of Montlouis.

As it was back in early October 2012

Group of pruners in a Montlouis vineyard. Pruning tends to be a long, cold job. This year even those pruning late will be working in cold conditions as the cold weather is continuing. Temperatures over the past few days have not reached double figures.

Jim, even here, in sunny Roussillon, weather has been apalling.
I’m still far from finished, another 3 ha to prune in Maury, ... and budding.
Fortunately, we had al LOT of rain, but not enough to compensate for the last 3 years of shortage.
Liked your pictures, once again.
Nature ... nothing to do against it, just adapt and make the best of it.
Those not undesrtanding that have it all wrong (cryoselection, for instance).
