Hotel du Coin: Esves-les-Moutier

A couple of photos of the long closed Hotel du Coin in the centre of the small commune of Esves-le-Moutier between Loches and Ligueil in the Indre-et-Loire départment. In the last census (2007) there were 196 people living in the commune.

Such a sad picture.
It's a shame that there are so many disused and crumbling little hotels all over the region - presumably they were all needed and in demand at some time.
I often think if I had a really big win on the lottery I would buy one and re-open it just for the sake of it, guests or no guests.

Thanks Jean. I guess many of the little hotels have been replaced by chambres d'hôtes.
