2009 Les Perrières Monopole, Muscadet, Gadais Père et Fils

2009 Les Perrières Monopole, Gadannis Père et Fils

This is a Muscadet that spends an extended time on lees - 18 months. 50% fermented in 300 litre oak barrels and 50% in tank. Along the style of a cru communaux, the impressive 2009 Les Perrières Monopole is a weighty, quite full-bodied Muscadet but with plenty of clean acidity in the finish to give it a lift. Should not be served over-chilled and would be good with full-flavoured fish – sea bass, salmon, etc.

(One of a selection of samples from the domaine.)
