Bill Nanson's ladybird CWW fault seminar
Bill Nanson
Attentive audience
Today Burgundy specialist Bill Nanson presented a fascinating seminar on the alleged effects of native ladybirds on the taste of Burgundy with a special focus on the 2004 and 2011 vintage.
The seminar demonstrated that the odd flavours and aromas in three of the four wines we tasted will doubtless see some attendees convinced and some not. What it certainly showed was that we have different innate abilities to smell and taste in very different ways (as already demonstrated by Tim Hanni MW).
Further details of this tasting to follow.
