Today off on a day visit to Sancerre and Menetou-Salon

First stop will be with Gilles Crochet at Lucien Crochet in Bué. Next we head onto Chavignol to meet with Jean-Marie Bourgeois. To get into practice we drank a bottle of the 1994 MD Henri Bourgeois that has some really attractive evolved notes – ripe, hint of honey, touch of asparagus too – while remaining fresh and youthful. We will finish with Albane and Bertrand Minichin of La Tour Saint Martin.
