On a blistery Sunday winter morning, it is easy to sense a desolate and abandoned aura about the Parque das Nações area, but compared to other ex-World Expo sites, like its predecesor in Seville, I am delighted to observe how successfully its been converted more than 15 years on, to a thriving, vibrant part of Lisbon.
ReplyDeleteCarrie. I agree. There were lots of people strolling along by the river plus those running and cycling. The shopping centre was packed.
ReplyDeleteAlso the very good Restaurant D'Bacalhau was very busy but there are a number of other restaurants and bars along by the Tejo that have closed. So it is some and some but is a vibrant part of Lisbon to visit.
