Starting our journey today to the Fourth European Wine Bloggers Conference (#EWBC) which is being held in Brescia (Franciacorta). Too far to drive in a day, so we will be stopping with friends in Savoie tonight.

    I had wanted to accompany, Jim.
    But October is really impossible for a wine-maker, except if you own a dozen slaves (assistants) to do the job for you, that is.
    Enjoy.
    By the way, I’m turning 55 tomorrow, and the poorest man I’ve ever been ... but full of the gay wealth of wine-making, grape-crushing, fermentation-worshipping. A dream come true.
    And the Hell with bankers .... just for a while.
