FIJEV Tuscany trip: day one (post 2) – buy wine

The 'buy wine' event is being held at Stazione Leopolda and includes a number of tastings centred around Tuscan wines including an opportunity for producers to meet importers and agents from around the world.

  1. Jim, do you know a crazy little thing called “cortical blindness” (no, not love)?

    I think you might suffer from it as far as this event is concerned: both the picture you show us of the ad for the exhibition at the train station, and the picture of the bottle and its label clearly state BUY wine, yet you stubbornly write about the “bu wine workshop”.
    If you so wish, I can redirect you to a) a very competent eye surgeon, b) a friend neurologist, c) an expert shrink, d) a political councellor of ex-SSSR, e) a cheap optician.

    Do you adhere to the French saying: “Quand le vin est BU, il faut le payer” ?

  3. You got me ! At least it proves I read you with the utmost attention.

    To tell the truth, there is one thing I regret about having abandonned wine journalism to make my own stuff: the real pleasure of visiting other vineyards, other events, meeting other people with an interest in wine and food. I suppose very successful wine estate owners with a lot of collaborators still can do that, but poor me ....
