Guess the vintage?
A glass of Bourgueil from Lamé-Delisle-Boucard – which vintage please?
From the color, I would say it's fairly recent, but I suspect that the reason you're asking is because people would be surprised how old it is. I have their wines going back to 2005, and I could open a bottle of each to compare the color, but that wouldn't make sense. I'll guess 1976.
Not a lot to go on there! But, on the basis that you're looking to surprise us, I'm going to guess 1976. It's amazing how young the older vintages of Lame-Delisle-Boucard look and taste. Brian

ReplyDeleteWay too young Bob. Other guesses on Les 5 du Vin have been 1893 and 1898. Both wrong but much closer.....
