Not a great start to 2018....
Unfortunately I slid on black ice this morning and damaged my knee. This led to a visit to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness transported in an ambulance. After a couple of hours wait I was x-rayed and then allowed back to Newtonmore. However, I will be back at the hospital for surgery to repair the damage.
The ambulance and Raigmore Hospital staff were fantastic – what a great institution the NHS is!
Hope that normal service will be resumed as soon as possible.
Jim,
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to see that. Let me be the first of your 'followers' (or whatever is the term for blog readers) to wish you a speedy recovery,
Graham
Many thanks Graham. Very kind of you. Have been meaning to reply to your message about the RSJ.indeed sad to see an institution for Loire wines to come to an end. Best wishes Jim
ReplyDeleteBest wishes for a speedy recovery. As to this:

Too bad the Trumpistas here in America don't understand that. They're always using countries like the UK and Canada as examples of the bad results of "socialized medicine."
Oh no! Hope that the knee injury will heal quickly after surgery. A difficult start to the new year for you. The NHS is an excellent institution, full of dedicated, hard working professionals, but I can't help but think that with proper funding it would be even better!
ReplyDeleteGet well soon!
