  1. Nice pictures, Jim. When I visited the village (after combining Sancerre with the famous goat cheese for twenty years) it came as a real shock to me that there are no goats in Chavignol. Unbelievable! :-)

  2. Peter. Many thanks for your comment. 40-50 years ago there would have been goats in Chavignol when polyculture was the norm. Since then vines have taken over. There are, however, goats not that far from Chavignol.
