Simon Woods: The World's Shortest Wine Book* *maybe

People, who live in the north of England, are renowned for being blunt. Simon Woods lives in Greater Manchester and his new book is full of admirably blunt, good advice.

'It's bollocks.' – science of food and wine matching.

'The easiest way to get more out of a bottle of wine? Buy some decent glasses.'

'Let's not beat about the bush, some countries make wine that is dispensable. If Chile or England didn't exist, there wouldn't be too many people in the wine world who would shed a tear. Unless they came from Chile or England. Ditto for much of Eastern Europe and Canada. But if France or Italy didn't exist...'

Subtitled '21 ways to get more out of a bottle of wine' Simon's 64 page book is self-published with 21 short chapters. He actually wrote three more short chapters which you can get by emailing him.
