2012 – a very fine Touraine Sauvignon: Clos du Porteau, Le Courlis

2012 Le Courlis, Touraine Sauvignon, Clos du Porteau

Really enjoyed this excellent 2012 Touraine Sauvignon, Le Courlis from the Clos du Porteau in Saint-Georges-sur-Cher. It has a lovely ripe texture, with a touch of citric fruit – touch of lime but mainly passion fruit and pineapple. Mellow wine, not at all sharp, and vegetal but still with enough acidity. The wine is made by Isabelle de Clermont Tonnerre.
