Winner Garrett Oliver and David Gleave MW (this year's Drink Book assessor)
The 2011 André Simon Memorial Award for drink books has been awarded to The Oxford Companion to Beer edited by Garrett Oliver and published by Oxford University Press. The Companion has some 160 contributors. This is the 34th edition of the André Simon Memorial Award.

A special prize for presentation was awarded to The Finest Wines of Rioja and Northwest Spain by Jesús Barquín, Luis Gutiérrez and Víctor de la Serna with photos by Jon Wyand and published by Aurum Press. This is a particularly achievement as the book was written in English by three Spaniards.

The Food Book Award went to Dan Lepard's Short and Sweet published by Fourth Estate. The winner in each category receives a cheque for £2000 and each runner-up one for £250.
