2011 Loire vintage: Sancerre – Alphonse Mellot

Quick visit yesterday afternoon to see Alphonse Mellot jnr.

Alphonse: "We started on 29th August. We have finished in Sancerre and are now picking in Les Pénitents (Charitois).

Beautiful pictures! We've heard early reports that 2011 will yield some delicious Sauvignon, and those beautiful grapes sure seem to back that claim up. Cheers!
