Clos du Porteau: the sky is no longer the limit!

Putting roof on the external winery (above and below)

Quick visit on late Tuesday afternoon to the Clos du Porteau in Saint Georges-sur-Cher to see new roof being put on the external winery and to taste a few 2009s.

Roof about two thirds on

  1. I knew of a “putting green”, Jim, but nothing about a “putting roof”!

  2. Luc. They will probably leave some holes in the roof once they have finished so you can play crazy golf when you visit...

  3. I’d hate to be ... off-putting, but only held a club in my hands twice. Managed to send the ball furlongs and furlongs away (I used to play hockey at school), but never in the intended direction! Was good fun, though. By the way, last time was an “initiation session” on the practice of ... Waterloo Golf Club. They still find little white balls of mine (marked LC 1815) in “Ferme de la Belle Alliance”. God knows what kind of legend historians are going to make up on that!
