Chapel Down 2009 Bacchus@Webbe's Rock-n-nore

2009 Bacchus, Chapel Down (closed with screwcap)

On Monday night we went back to Webbe's Rock-n-nore in Hastings Old Town and had another very good meal at a decidedly reasonably price. After sharing a really interesting range of tasters as a first course – the mussels with lemon grass were particularly good, we all had fish with the black bream and the skate wings well praised. I had a generous portion of nicely cooked cod and chips.

We chose the fresh, vibrant and very aromatic (redolent of English hedgerows!) 2009 Bacchus from Chapel Down, part of the English Wine Group and one of the UK's largest wine producers. Once again the service was very efficient and friendly – a very well run restaurant.

See previous post on Webbe's here.
