From one of Europe's longest rivers to one of the shortest

The Ness in the middle of Inverness

At 629 miles the Loire is France's longest river and the 14th longest in Europe. (Admittedly very considerably shorter than the Volga@2294 miles long easily the longest European river.) This week I've been staying beside one the shortest – the fast flowing River Ness, which is just 23 miles long.
