Less obviously striking than Sancerre and its vineyards, there are nevertheless some very attractive parts of Pouilly-sur-Loire and its vineyards. Photos mainly taken late October 2006.
Much of the centre of Pouilly is pretty faded – echoes of the glory days when the N7 used to run through the small town – the firmly closed La Bouteille d'Or has long lost its lustre.

The pics posted today have reminded me that I have to visit the Loire next time I am in London. Sure I will run out of time to see it all!
ReplyDeleteGreetings from Bob in Alberta.
Wise decision. Impossible to see it all the Loire is such a large region and so much to see!
